Default Rutland Evening League

Who can tell me anything about the Tuesday evening boat league they have on Rutland? I'm thinking of entering this year but other than the fact that it starts on May 12th, I can't find any details.

As luck would have it I was speaking to Nigel Savage (AW organiser) on the bank the other night. The Boat league will start around the 12th May, starts at 6pm (need to arrive in plenty of time to tackle up) and fish till 'boat in times' + 15mins depending on light. Finished off with an optional Fish & Chips at the lodge afterwards and presentaion to winners. Its a great evening out, friendly and I have learnt loads from the excellent anglers that Turn up. We normally get around 15-20 anglers. Keep an eye on the anglianwater leisure site for updates http://www.anglianwaterleisure.co.uk...86&parentid=47.

You don't have to commit for the season just turn up as an when.

Look forward to seeing you there. Its a good crack.

Regards

I have fished the boat league for the last 2 years and would recommend it to anyone. You sign in, then names are drawn from a hat to partner you up, then off you go. There are a complete mix of skills, you might find you are partnered up with an member of the England team, or a complete duffer like me. It is a competition, but you dont have to compete, just enjoy the fishing.

Turn up on the night, or ring the lodge for more details.

Thanks guys. Sounds great. What costs are involved? Evening ticket (unless you have a ST) boat fee, anything else?

Evening ticket, half boat and a couple of quid for fish n chips which come in from Stamford. We used to have road kill in the lodge until the owner decided we were not worth staying open for.

Ha, you are SO much better off with fish 'n' chips than a meal in the Lodge.

Just wish I lived closer.....................

Starts on Tuesday. Be there, or be square.
