No, but I am thinking about taking a boat out on Saturday.

It's been fishing well the last couple of times I've been out.

Default Grafhams fishing on the nymphs !

All you twiddlers should be happy, as there on the buzzers hard at the moment...

I may venture out Saturday........on Grafham.....or Rutland...depends on my mood really......the South Arm should start to fish in a week or two at Rutland, especially if it keeps getting warmer !

Buzzers you reckon Rob, it's been booby's for the last couple of outings so that should make a change. I could do with getting out on saturday really as I haven't been for a couple of weeks.

Default Yesterday

I had a couple of mates out yesterday on Grafham, they tell me that they hammered fish at the Stumps....(no there's not any stumps any more, just new stones) just up from hill farm 50 yards off the bank..

Midge tip and Diawls..... with a slow figure of 8....

Also there's fish still at Hedge end.

Personally i'd prefere to pull, but this warmer snap seems to have brought them on the nymphs....

Guess the weather will play a part as usual......windy and cold and it's the DI-7 and boobies.......warm and calm and its the nymphs..

Default Sorry

Sorry when i said there "hard on the buzzers" i used the term to mean hard on the nymphs....sorry for any confusion - I know how it can offend some people

Oh they were on red holo diawls for info. Size 8 tiemco 2457 on the point (heavy hook) to get them all down nice & quick

good luck guys

Ive never heard Rob talk about nymphs as much he must be getting old and has to twiddle now instead of all that pulling. I have allways said that it takes far more skill to be a good lure angler than it does to be a good nymph angler you need to have a greater understand of the depths you are fishing etc. etc.etc. That is why i have never gone down the lure route as nymphs are easier !!! Having said that I did spend a day in the boat with Rob in a comp once and managed to keep up with him on the lures ( only just ) and we even had a film crew out at the end of the day because Rob was on the flowta and I was on Di 5 Now that was a one for the diary.
