I am going to be fishing the scotland river heats this year and some1 told me that you are able to fish with barbed hooks this year. Was just wondering if this is true.

I think this is a mistake. and it will be de-barbed or barbless.

I believe it says on the sheet with the rules on that barbed hooks are allowed, dont know if they have just made a boob or its true. I will be using barbless whatever, i dont think it makes any difference as long as you keep a tight line to your fish.

Its not that i am worried about keeping them on, its just all my flies are on barbed hooks.

they have only reccommended usin barbless or debarbed this year! your free to used barbed if you want to1 as gibby says" keep a tight line" ,
heres hopin anyway! what heat are you in? im fishin the first heat! wasnt my first choice but hey ho! no practise for me as the paperwork just came in the day!!

I'm hoping for the 3rd or 4th heat but my bud is 2nd or 1st and time is a running out for a practice,

Finally got the letter today, going to be fishing the 2nd heat
