The 60 day restriction only apples to competitors and their agents. Not sure exactly what 'agents' covers, presumably manager, coach/guide, possibly some others.

I think 'agents' is anyone with an official link to a team such as guides as you said. With so many comps being on water being used for the worlds, I can't see too many teams getting comp anglers as guides.

The 60 days means our own team are only going to get about the first fortnight of the season to fish the waters.

I think only wanting controllers who can do all 3 days is asking a bit much, when you consider the amount of anglers who sometimes struggle to get someone to boat for them in the Nationals., Including 'chief' controllers they are going to need about 80 people if 25 teams enter. All comp days are weekdays too.

Default World Champs

I was a controller at the World Champs when they were in England in 2000. I went with a few guys from my local club. We camped nearby and made a trip of it.

It was a fantastic experience. I watched some of the world's best fishing on the Upper Test and got to fish it for free one morning when there was no comp angler scheduled to fish.

The competitors were really friendly and the cameraderie of the whole thing was special.

Unfortunately work and other committments mean I won't be able to get involved in this. However, I would reccomend it and I hope that all of you who go have a great time.

Guys ur in for a real treat - watch and learn. I fished in the Worlds in 2004 and caught 33 grayling in three hours - I was beaten by a guy who got 47

On another Beat I had 23 in the same timescale.........second to a guy who had 28

If you take 3 days holiday for this event, it will be the best and most productive 'time off' of your lives.

I have vowed never to fish another until or unless, I lose at least 3 stone in weight and I can give it 100% commitment
