This annual event will be fished on the prestigious Maelor AA waters of the grayling rich River Dee on Sunday 25th January 2009. The 2008 event produced superb fly fishing with some 160 grayling being caught and released by 20 anglers.

All are welcome, subject only to English residential status. Don’t worry if you are not a serious competition angler, just come along and enjoy the fishing and the company.

A reminder to anyone out there who would like to participate to please contact Martin Dixon ASAP.

We are in need of volunteers to act as controllers on 25th Jan. This is an excellent way of observing experienced anglers and much can be learnt. Also you will be part of an enjoyable event, receive a free pint and buffet after the match! and courtesy of Maelor Angling a free day's grayling fishing.

Due to high water conditions, we have been forced to put the match back to next Sunday i.e 1st February.

If there is anyone out there who could not either fish or control on the original date, but who can now come, can they please contact Martin Dixon on 01270 585755 or martin.dixon@hotmail.co.uk.
