A hard match today in blazing sunshine and flat calm. Many struggled with a few blanks and lots of 1's and 2's.

1st - Martin Webster
2nd - Mark Haycock

Martin had a terrific day with 8 fish by 3.15, including one of 4-2. I had the pleasure of Martin's company in practise yesterday and can confirm he is a smashing guy who does not really focus on the comp scene but showed he can catch fish when he's on them.

Can't remember the rest but lots of Bewlies qualified.

Charlie

That was a hard match, well done to all who took part , especially the qualifiers.
For my own part I had 4 fish, one short of qualifying again and managed to drop three!!.
All credit to the Bewl staff, they made us feel very welcome and the fishery was hard but fair on the day.

Well done to all the qualifiers and indeed all those who made the final. It was a difficult but fair day as Nick says and so different to the previous practice days - for me anyway. Had a very frustrating match day watching my leader slide away and so many pulls and taps not converted while my boat partner hooked nearly every take - good angling Kerry and good company in the boat. Well done to Bewl Geordie - about time you made it pal and tight lines to all at Rutland this week.
Hope to see some of you back at Bewl to support the ladies on Saturday.
Here's to next year!

Default Congratulations

Send my congratulations to your dad Scarlett. See you at Vince's charity day on the 25th - we promise not to use the nickname you picked up at the Ladies National (Menteith flies and all that)!!!
