In the individual I know of 2 people who qualified:

1st Simon Barton (10 fish)
4th Steve Docherty (7 fish)

Im not sure of 2nd and 3rd. John Horsey has now introduced a 4 fish limit and then Catch and Release with each fish counting as 2 pound. If im not mistaken the Senior Trials will also take on a similar approach on Brenig and Llandegfedd. In my opinion this is so much better than the old system of hit a pod of stockies and "bag up" in double quick time. You need to search, have methods, have areas which surely makes you a better angler in the way you approach a water. What do other competition anglers think and pleasure anglers alike?

I think you can still do the same with a 'pod' of stockies if you find them, whether you stop at 6, or continue catching & releasing them and get 15.

Forgot to say - well done nymph-a-maniacs, they just keep doing it.
