Can somebody tell me how you get selected to represent England in the Commonwealth fly fishing championships.

I am curious as I was recently asked to take part in a fund raiser for this team, yet I had no idea of the organisation I was being asked to support.

No qualification required.You are just asked if you want to be in the team.
This year it is in Tasmania.so you need to have lots of money.

And do the pick/invites go to fisherman with a track record in comp fishing?

From looking at the Scottish teams of recent times.the Anglers have a good comp record..I have no idea who does the asking.
I have no idea what this means.
I remember hearing that ''Caps'' would not be awarded.I do not know if this is still true.
I think it is possibly this weekend. or maybe next.

I'm sure someone from TEFF will have the answer to the question.
I believe that the invitation for the TEFF Commonwealth Team is done on a personal basis. Everyone needs to be transparent these days and I'm sure TEFF are actively trying to adopt this policy.

There was talk late last year that TEFF were going to be involved in this but nothing was discussed at the AGM, we were running late so may have been put to one side.
