Any dates for the Welsh Loch style 2012 trials yet? I'm running out of holidays to take?

I think the WSTAA calendar of events has been issued, have you checked the WSTAA website?

The web site seems to be running about 2 years out of date!!

The dates that FJ has posted match what i've heard but nothing concrete yet!

Just curious - what sorts of numbers fish the Welsh Trials these days? Also, how come they are using Llandeg twice now? There were always 4 venues to include Llys Y Fran from what I remember

Last year the numbers were well down on previous years around 65 anglers last year as opossed to around a 100 in 2010! A large price increase and the recession was thought to be the reason.
Yes you are right that there were 4 venues originaly but all trialists were asked to fill in a questionaire regarding venues and the majority felt that llys y fran was to small at only 212 acres when a succesfull trialist would be asked to fish an international on waters maybee 10 times bigger, also concerns over the saftey of the boats was an issue but i understand that some new boats have now been purchassed.
So Llandegfyedd has 2 trials now meaning 2 in the south and 2 in the north.
Hope to see you and some new faces at the trials this year.

Russ
