IBFF - Airflo World Bank Masters Individual Competition 2012

Competition Details

Teams may enter and fish as individuals

Bank only competition with rotational pegged fishing

Heats to be held across UK and entrants can enter as many heats as they wish

Entry will be £25 with goody bag and 2nd entry fee is £22 with no goody bag for 2nd+ entries

Entry Fees to be paid to the organiser, match fees to be paid to the fishery

There are limited pegs at each venue and it will be done on a first come first served basis. Your deposit with entry form confirms your place in the chosen heat(s)

Final to be held at Elinor, Northamptonshire on May 20th, 2012

105 anglers will fish the final with a pro-rata percentage from each heat reaching the final. There will be a number of wild cards reaching the final which will be drawn from non-qualifiers

Fishing in the final will be strictly ‘catch and release’ with de-barbed or barbless hooks. Heats will be fished to fishery rules and operate C&R where appropriate

Any fishery heat operating C&R will be encouraged to score with 2 points for the first fish on every peg and 1 point thereafter with a maximum of 5 fish per point. Maximum of 6 points can be scored per peg

Any size fly and non-catchable sight indicators will be allowed in the final and heats if the fishery rules permit

Large Cash prizes, UK Holiday in Newquay and other prizes to be won at the final. Full prize list to be confirmed

Unfortunately the date of the final clashes with the Vision Pairs at Rutland!

Out of curiosity, just how many foreign entries have we had or do we expect in this "world" championship?

good question as the heats are alll in the uk not soo many id say

Do ya count the irish as foreign.
20th may is a bad time for those irish that fidh the mayfly. But sounds like a good comp that could promote a bit of publicity for fly fishing

Non-catchable sight indicators, the heresy of it

The date clashes with the European Championships in Portugal but then again England do't seem to be putting a team in that particular championship this year.
