It was a tough competition with the Dee running extremely high over the 2 days. Fishing was tough with many blanks, but it was fished in the true spirit intended and extremely well run by Ken Bathers and his team.

I will post some results a little later but off the top of my head the top three were:

1, Italy Caddis (Featuring - Franta Hanak)
2, Wales Dragonflies (featuring - Hywel Morgan)
3, England Black Gnats (featuring the formidable Nixon trio)

Our team finished 4th which we were over the moon about considering this was our first entry into the competition.

Biggest fish was 47cm - I may have pushed that very close when I spectacularly lost a huge black old fish which performed several aerial pursuits before deciding it had had enough of being attached to my hook

Thanks Dave, conditions weren't the best but it's a great location at Llangollen on the banks of the Dee. Lots of friendly banter to be had on the evenings in the bar at the Hand Hotel.
