Default Greys Bank Finals.

The Finals are drawing near so Fred and I will use this thread this week to notify the finalists of any last minute changes etc.

We have 48 Individual Finalists and 20 Teams booked in.

There will be a hot lunch, looking at the weather forecatse we may need it. To cater for this the afternoon sessions will start 15 minutes later and the afternoon will finish at 5:30. As there are no fish to weigh in this should be easy to achieve.

If the winds are as strong as predicted the Individual Final may use the whole lake, the decision will be made on Friday.

The Peg draws will be made at lunch time on Friday.

For the 2012 Finals the hooks used for the finals will need to be Commercially produced barbless hook.

Hi Alan,

Looking at deeps, I think it's going to be very tight to fit 48 on there in any weather, there were around 20-24 on there yesterday and very few bank spots available.

Hi Terry,

We have asked the staff at Westlow to advise all Individual competitors to use the full lake for practise.

Regards
Fred.

Looking at the weather forecast for the weekend it may be unsafe to use the wheely boat on the Saturday so the whole lake is likely to be used for the Individual Final now. Expect to have 2 pegs in the shallows during the day. The final decision will be made on Friday but it is unlikely you will be fishing the Deeps only.

For those satying at the Plough at Eaton, Breakfast is from 8 on Saturday and Sunday. If anybody is staying there and wants a basic breakfast earlier (Cereals) can they let me know so I can see what I can arrange? If not it will be the Cafe mentioned on another thread.

A slight tweak to the rules for the weekend. As it is forecast to rain we will allow waterproof trousers over wellingtons. However, NO waders. This means that one fot has to be on the bank at all times and you can only put the other one in when landing and releasing a fish.

Ok, no more updates as I am off up to Westlow in a few minutes. Best of luck to all fishing both days. If anybody has to drop out for any reason please could they phone Fred as soon as possible or leave a message with the fishery so that we can bring in reserves if necessary.

Tight Lines everybody.
