Default New to competition fishing....

Hi, i would very much like to get involved in competition fishing, but i know very little about it. Are there any individual competitions or are they all team based? Any upcoming competitions or people i should contact for more information?
Thanks
Lyndon

The competitive trout season is almost over.
September sees many event finals and October has Fur n Feather matches.

Best if you start planning for 2012.
There are individual and team comps. Some are fished to international rules and others to ressie rules.
Not forgetting river comps.

(not sure what type of fishing you like or what level you personally have reached )

Googled Corwen and you are in North Wales area.

Checkout what comps are happening local on your ressie n rivers.
What comps do your local clubs run. (use google or ask around).

Or check out the web sites for AWA , Bewl ,Chew etc to see what comps and the contact details for this year.

There are loads of comps for individuals if you don't mind travelling.

Hope that helps a little.

Hi, thanks for your reply. I should have said i meant next season, sorry!
I live in North Wales, about 15minutes from Llyn Brenig and am willing to travel for competitions. I have a regular boat partner that is willing to compete also. I mainly fish small stillwaters, but have experience on Brenig and also have joined Corwen and District to enhance my river fishing skills.
I will get on with some research so i can be ready for next season. (Making a new fly tying bench today so i can get an assortment ready for Grafham in 2 weeks.)
Thanks for the help.
Lyndon
