Default Airflo Classic 2008

Planning for the Airflo Classic 2008 is underway. There will be a greater presence in Scotland and there are plans for Heats in Wales and Ireland.

Is there anybody out there willing to run a heat at a fishery not used in the last couple of years? We are especially looking for venues in Wales.

If you are interested in running a heat PM me for further information.

The Grand Finals are at Elinor over the weekend of 11/12th October.

Egnot.

Default Airflo Heats.

We try and organise Heats around the country and if anybody wants to organise a Heat please PM me with the proposed location and dates and we can add them to the calendar. All funds raised go to the CEFF to support the England team.

If you don't like a current venue, please do not hesitate to consider running a heat at a venue more suitable to your requirments.

Egnot.

Question

Why would anyone want to run a heat of this comp in SCOTLAND or WALES when all funds raised go to help only the ENGLAND TEAM

Default Funding.

The reason is that we are trying to get to the stage of running a Bank Home international in the way there are ones for Loch Style and Rives. The International body are seeing how we can expand the Airflo Classic into Ireland, Wales and Scotland before they agree to one. If we can prove that we can run a fully international Classic then we are virtually there.

The entry fee inclused s £5 Entry Pack fee and we are allowing Entrants to donate this to the local Youth Team instead of an Entry Pack. We donated £150 to the Scottish Youth last year from the Scottish Heat and plan to do the same again this year. We are aware of the conflict of interest but until we can fully expand the Competition we cannot do much about it. If each of the National bodies CEFF, etc took on organising their own heats in their respective countries leading up to the Grand Finals then there may be mileage in them keeping their own funds but at the moment the Airflo Classic is organised by the CEFF and all profits go to them.

Hope that helps.
