I would enter if it wasn't a mid-week final, just can't justify 3 days out of the office for this comp any longer.

Still I think we're all going to stay up the night before for the September match....so there's bound to be some carnage in Dunchurch that night !!


Having fished Grafham today...I couldn't believe just how few boats were practicing for the Anglian Water Midlands Final tomorrow.....over half the fleet was in the harbour....

I really think the cost of fishing, and practicing for these big comps is taking it's toll.......worrying times !

Organisors get a bigger discount on the boat and day ticket prices if they hold the match in the week !

It was the same for our northern anglian heat. I think there were only 5 teams that did any propper practice.

Nothing is cheap these days...fact! Petrol, Football, Fishing, Boozing, Smoking........... Remedy? If you cant afford it, dont do it..cut out the ones that are not important 'scale-wise'.... and dont critisise those that can because they 'can'

Don't see anyone criticising ' those than can ' on this thread Mart, just a few anglers agreeing that in current times, comps are becoming a bit costly.
