Default Mixed Doubles

Why do competitions never involve mixed doubles? Surely this would be a good way of getting more girls/ladies involved in the sport. Or does flyfishing still include a golfing exclusion culture?

Get down to Bewl. There have been three comps involving mixed pairings.
Also the Confederation of English Fly Fishers events are open to Ladies to participate. No exclusive golf club mentality there.

Hi, the England Ladies hold a mixed pairs match every year. Last year it was on Eyebrook, the previous year Grafham.
The committee meets this weekend to set the calender for 08, so keep an eye on their web site in the new year for events. www.elfa.org.uk Failing that give me pm in the new year.

Hi, I can now confirm that the 2008 England ladies mixed pairs match will be held at Grafham on Saturday 3rd May. No further details are available yet, but I am sure Tracy in the Lodge will be able to help out nearer the time.

Everyone is welcome and we often need a few partners for people so feel free to put your name forward.
