I've just read the National report and wanted to thank you for your part in the day. It was a memorable day out on the Lake with plenty of fish and great company. I really can't remember having a boatman who was so helpful and, more importantly, so neutral.
It was a real pleasure, and although we didn't follow 100% of your advice I'm sure you were responsible for a couple extra fish each for James and myself.
I was concerned before the final as I couldn't get a practice boat.........who needs one with gents like you and James about.
Sorry to see you missed out in the English National, it'll only be a matter of time before you're back in I'm sure.
Thanks again and tight lines.

John
