The Competition has come and gone

L. F. R. S. Open Fly Fishing Competition- Stocks Reservoir , 29 April

I will be fishing in the above competition with sons Steve, and Ken, and two grandsons, Aaron and Elliot, again this year. Traditionally this comp is a disaster for me and I seem to struggle to catch fish. Two years ago my grandson Elliot caught a 12lb rainbow on a fly I’d been using, five minutes before, a Glister Damsel. “Can you believe it?” as Victor Meldrew would say. There’s no justice in this World.

I understand there are three boats left so if anyone would like to enter this competition, which is for a very good cause, the Fire and Rescue Benevolent Fund, contact me. There are plenty of good fishing tackle prizes.Send me a PM if you are interested.
