The boat draw for the scottish national fly fishing championship has been drawn and is available on the SANACC web site.

Jesus lads,

Any wonder you boys are SH*T hot at Internationals. Thats some qualifying system.

How do anglers get to these heat stages? Do you have to be selected thru your club

And how many more matches are there before you get to the final match.

It really looks like a system that breeds consistency Fair play to you.

To get to this stage, you have to be the top 2 in your own club comps.you then go through these heats,Semies, then the final.Nice to see an Orcadien heat introduced.

Jim,
clubs are allowed up to 3 entries and most clubs that I know of put forward their top rods.
Our club has 16 championship outings at 10 different waters this year.
It is not an easy route even to get to the qualifiers and then you have to fish against the best in Scotland and at various venues.
The usual names and faces have entered and the standard is very high just look at the entries for Harray alone.
Neil

Your right Neil,I forgot that they had gone from the top 2 to the top 3 a few years ago.

We're the same, top three rods out of 14/16 outings through the season get to fish the qualifiers for the National. 3rd, 4th and 5th get to do the clubs.
