Just thought I should post the info for the match- join us on Rutland

Davy Hodgson Memorial Match Sunday May 8th 2011

Dear competitor
The Ospreys Fly Fishing Team would like to invite you to fish this memorial match to celebrate the memory of a great friend, angler and a true gentleman.
This is a friendly competition which will be fished to international rules, however we have decided to introduce one rule and that is the only line you are allowed to use is a Midge Tip line. Flies must be within international rules.
Practice boats have been reserved for the Saturday and if you require one please contact Rutland direct but when you are booking please mention that you are fishing this match on Sunday . We are also organizing an informal get together including a buffet on Saturday night to raise a glass to an old friend, so please come and join us at the lodge at 6pm approx.

The match timings are as follows

8.30-9.15 Registration and boat allocation
9.30 Match briefing
10am-6pm Match
6pm weigh inn and presentation of prizes

I fished this competition last year and dispite inclement weather still caught fish on buzzers and diawls. An excellent competition with everyone fishing with a midge tip line only, in memory of Dave as this was his favourite line. A friendly comp with good prizes fished in a relaxing atmosphere. Give it a try as I am sure Rutland will be fishing its head off on nymphs by May 8th.
