Here are the dates and venues for this years Scottish Bank International Individual competition.

It is open to all anglers and you do not have to be a member of sana or a club to enter.

Entry costs £15(This is not free membership to Sana as it was last year) to enter plus fishing which will be catch and release based.

Payment is at the fishery of your choice on the day and book your place at that fishery before.

Final to choose the International team will be held at Lochter fishery .

The International team will then compete in the Final in Ireland at loch Barfinney in Oct 2011.

Only a few weeks to go before this competition is up and running. Lots of fisheries have had another difficult winter so between March and May I hope many of you will be able to support a fishery near you by entering this comp.

Answers to a couple of general questions.
There are no application forms. To enter please chose your fishery and give them a phone. Entry fee and fishing fees payable at the fishery on the day.
Plan is to have 60 anglers at final. The number of anglers going through from a heat will be determined by the number who enter the heat. I have advised each fishery if they have 12 entries then a minimum of 3 will progress to final.

The International match will be held at Barfinnihy Lake, Killarney, Co Kerry in October.

Howwood is only 3 weeks away with Kingennie also following on 27th March. More opportunities this year to make the final and then top 6 will make the International Team.

Today's heat for at Howwood was cancelled. Heavy snow greeted those that turned up. There will still be a heat held at Howwood but at a later date. We are looking at 23 April and will confirm via the SANA website, the fishery website and this thread for confirmation.

Whilst some were keen to compete the decision was taken to cancel on safety grounds and a non cooperating weather foreecast.

Kingennie Fishery,Dundee hold the next heat for this event,this Sunday 27th. This now becomes the first heat after the cancellation of Howwood due to snow. Howwood will now be held on Saturday 23rd April.

4 anglers have qualified from Kingennie, well done to all who took part.
Qualifiers are Steve Corsar, Richard McHattie, Grant Osler and Stephen Green. Thanks to John Whelan and Kingennie for allowing us to use fishery.

This weekend, Sunday 3rd April, we are off to the East of Scotland and Markle fishery. To enter just call the fishery on 01620 861213. The number of entries determines the number of qualifiers.

After Markle we are off to Craufurdland nr Fenwick, tel 01560 600760 and Parkview nr Cupar in Fife, tel 01337 831810. Both heats are on Saturday 9th April.
