Wetfly,
Like Flyonly says, joining TAFI is easy. Why dont you contact the national Secretary via the website.

For further information on joining tafi interested clubs or individuals can contact the national secartary via the website Trout Anglers Federation of Ireland - Fips Mouch Fly Fishing Championship. .

If you want to affiliate your club to Tafi, I would imagine that you would have to submit a letter to the Ulster Branch or National Branch and be proposed and seconded in the appropriate way.
I would say that if you want to fish this match next Saturday, then your only option, because of the short notice, would be to join Woodford Club who are organising the event. Im sure that you would be very welcome indeed. After all they are trying to attract as many top class anglers as possible to represent Ulster and Ireland.
I agree with Marazion Midge. Perhaps it may have been better to give any anglers who are interested in this comp a bit more time and notice. I mean the International is only over a couple of weeks ago. So why have local qualifiers straight away

. I mean Skinny has publicised this match on here just 12 days

before it is due to take place. I fish some major comps in Ireland, England & Wales, and I can guarantee you that if the organisers let people know about the comps just 12 days before , they would not have many entries.
Even I have to admit that this Bank match seems to be more popular than first imagined,(fair play to Fred) so surely it would pay to advertise the qualifiers over a longer period of time to try and attract more outside interest.
Only my opinion, but Its perhaps giving the impression that at some places, having "not many entries" might suit some people to give some a better chance of getting on the team, without much opposition.
Surely clubs like Woodford could allow members to join their club for the purposes of fishing this year's competition, until anglers like Wetfly are given enough time to join Tafi in the proper way for the 2011 qualifier.
Im sure that eventually the idea is to have around 100 of the best bank anglers in Ulster fishing a larger venue.
Only a suggestion.
