The TAFI Leinster Bank Qualifier will take place on Lough Aishling on Sunday 28th November. This is a qualifer to select the Leinster Team (Top 6 to qualify) to fish in the Inter-Provincial Bank Championship in 2011. The Top 6 from the Inter-Provincial Banks Final will then form the Irish Team for the 4 Nations Bank International that is taking place in Ireland next year (venue yet to be announced).

Letters are being issued to all affiliated clubs and entries are to be forwarded through your appropriate club secretary. The entry fee is €40 and there will be a cut-off date for entry to help organisers prepare for the day. Any Leinster anglers out there who fancy their chances of making the 2011 Irish Bank Team now is your chance to enter.

Update on T.A.F.I. Leinster Bank Qualifier
The T.A.F.I. Leinster Bank Qualifier takes place at lough Aishling, Rathville, Edenderry, Co. Offaly on Sunday 28th November 2010 - registration will be at 9.30am. The competition will be fished on a catch and release basis. The entry fee is €40 and is to be paid to Brian Lynch (Hon. Sec.) by Friday 19th November (5pm deadline). The fee is made up of €10 for Team Ireland, €10 Restocking and €20 for the competition.

The fishing will take place from 10.30am to 4.00pm. The Top Six Rods qualify to fish for Leinster in the Inter-Pro Bank Final - Venue to be decided upon.

The event is open to all seniors. All competitors must be T.A.F.I. affiliated and must produce current club membership cards if asked.

The TAFI Leinster Bank Qualifier at Lough Aishling has been cancelled tomorrow due to the treacherous road conditions. Many roads are unsafe for travel with snow falling over night and still falling in some areas. Kildare, Meath, Wexford, Wicklow and Carlow are particularly badly affected with snow and black ice. In the interest of safety the event has been cancelled.

It may take place on the following Sunday (5th December 2010) but again it depends on the weather conditions improving.
