A great way for good friends to keep in touch over the closed season. Once a month for 5 months. I just hope the lake doesn't freeze again this year like it did last year.

Was up today mate. Fish rising everywhere, to cow dung and small buzzers, so looks like dries on Sunday.

We have 24 entries for this year so its fully subscribed

22 anglers fishing on Sunday. Cant wait

NEXT ROUND IS NEXT SUNDAY - 28th NOVEMBER.

The first round went very well indeed. The winter league is FULLY subscribed and there are no places available.

We had a maximum turn out of 20 anglers, with some top class anglers fishing and all 10 boats were on the water. There were around 100 fish caught and released

Brian Stanfield was the winner with 9 fish and he leads the winter league with 20 points. 5 other anglers all caught 8 fish and share second place in the league with 17 points. Gary Crothers, Steve Ellis, Tony Hogg, Larry Gibb & Stan McCart

The fry in the morning was some packing and the craic was brilliant.

Everyone is looking forward to fishing the next match and the rest of the matches throughout the winter,
