Exactly the same campbell, either they have not updated their mailing list or they are hoping to attract some of the clubs back who didn't rejoin this year.

The latter, John, and why not? :-)

Also, it's a meeting of 'all interested parties'

Hi Dave, no reason why not, perfectly normal for organisations to continue to mailshoot previous and/or prospective customers/members.

Certainly nothing wrong with that as long as the members dont mind inviting non members and maybe voting. Be interesting to hear the outcome.

Dave congratulations on the appointment, might be able to move forward now after the mess, best of luck . Out of interest how many clubs failed to rejoin ?

The three clubs that I have membership to all declined to take out membership. So the broad spectrum of the club members not just competition anglers voted to decline taking up 2010 membership I thought that at least one club would retain their membership so that I still would have had club membership. I still have the option of Individual membership but will wait to see what vision the new chairperson will have after their appointment is made at the AGM and what direction they will take. If SANA did loose a lot of club members it may be that the new chairperson will try to encourage the club members back. If its only half a dozen clubs they might not bother. Its only a simple question to ask and hopefully you will see why I asked and "why not" as Diogg says. I could just wait to read the SANA Handbook when it is available. I want one body in Scottish angling and i think that this mess gets cleared up ASAP.

Campbell, if you want a straw poll of clubs that didn't rejoin, then ours didn't either.
Maybe some of the other forum members will add their vote.
We also had the invite to the meeting about the World and European teams. I was under the impression that the "Super League" was aimed at selecting the teams?

Thanks for that Duff, but I dont want to go down this road we have at least two members who know the answers to the simple question. If its only a few clubs SANA are going in the right direction, if its a load then they will need a re-think.

Looking at all the budget cuts I am sure that their funding will suffer as predicted last year. Interestingly enough when we were told that the teams had to be hand picked to secure the funding that this was certainly not the case.

and would most certainly have questioned it if I had.
