"The combined title of the talks is “Flying, Fishing & Flies”. The first half is a travelogue, looking at the places I fish and the people I fish with, in the UK, the Eastern and Western United States and the Falkland Islands. In the second half, I shall look at trout fly design – the ways in which flies may be designed to represent the stages in their life cycles that are important to fish (not the tired old egg>nymph>dun>spinner model, but a markedly more sophisticated and informative one) and the keys to fishing them successfully”
