Default Southern FFF Meet?

Last weekend we were forced to cancel a Southern FFF meet at Woodington Fishery due to lack of support.

Whilst a number of anglers were keen to attend such an event, the date was not agreeable to many.

Due to other bookings, this would have been the only feasible date before Christmas.

However, there still seems to be enough interest for this event to go forward in the New Year.

To avoid a repeat of last time, I would be grateful if anybody interested could complete the poll.

It goes without question, the majority will rule, but in case of ties, if you are available for multiple dates, please vote for all dates you would like (I've allowed the poll to accept multiple answers).

Now that I've made the system more complicated than the US Elections, we can make any final decisions in case of further ties by counting the Chads.

The cut off for the vote will be 09:47pm on the 17th December and the finalised date will be announced (assuming it's not abundantly clear already) on the 18th December.

Thank you all and I hope we can count on your support.

Default Good to see this is going to reschedule for Jan 2010

Hi fishface,

opps sorry, 'erefishyfishy..... glad to see you have not lost all hope after the terrible weather and the number of drop outs for the date in November.

The only day I can really do in Jan is the 31st as I am away skiing 17th to 24th and have lots going on prior. So provided I don't do any serious damage to myself on this trip I will be there if the event is on Sunday 31st - otherwise I will be thinking of you all.

Good luck with the organising.

Best wishes
CatSki

are there any pubs nearby so we can chat over a beer or two afterwards?
it'll be rude to just shoot off with all the fish

A nice pub just a few miles up the road called The Shoe Inn.

Good beer, nice wines, open fires, Chesterfields, a Pool Table ........ and if you're still hungry, very good food.

Depending on the date I'll be up for this. Not yet fished Woodington but its been on my list for a while. Question is, can I get the car to drive past the turning for Avington?

Please do not use this thread any further.

The Poll has now closed, and the majority date is now set for Sunday, 31st January, 2010.

The new thread for this event can be found at: Southern FFF Meet

We look forward to seeing friends old and new at Woodington next year.

Wishing you all a safe and peaceful Christmas.
