Default Malcom Greenhalgh At Bolton Fly Tyers 3rd Nov

We've had a damn fine set of speakers come and visit us this year, next up is Malcom Greenhalgh on the 3rd November.

7pm in the upstairs function room of the Beehive Pub in Horwich (at the head of the Reebok Stadium Bypass).

Non Members welcome £4 on th night

New Members even more welcome.


The club meets on the first and third tuesday of the month througout the year.
There are some really great tyers and then theres duffers like me, but its a great place to chat fishing through the winter nights when you cant fish.

I wish you had said hello to me last week - would have been good to have put a face to a name.

I thought you would attend but didnt want to stand up and ask "Is Mr Noeyedeer here?"

I thought the flies Paul tied were great - much better than my ham fisted efforts - especially the bead head ptn with cdc.
My ambition for the winter is to learn to tie that fly !

You may have been sat in front of me....I was sat on the back row asking questions in a Geordie accent........
Yes - the flies were very interesting. I also liked the PTN, and the Para Ant.
I need some smaller hooks, but for the para ant my notes don't tie up with what is available (I noted a Tiemco 203, but apparrently that doesn't exist, see: Tiemco hooks)
I've mailed Paul but no answer yet.

The name's Dave btw...
