Default Halliford Mere social ???

Any one fancy a social at Halliford Mere in the coming months? for those who would like more info about the fishery :http://www.hallifordmere.co.uk/
I wouldnt suggest high summer as it gets rather difficult at times, its not a fishery for the real beginner as such, you need abit of experience , but youve got 3 lakes to play with, hard fighting fish in great nick for £20 alday C/R so it wont break the bank, theres a bar for refreshments, "CHUB1 prices gone up" and of course if your a talented angler you may get a brownie But dont let me put you beginners off as its a lovely place and you can have a great day with plenty of sport "on right day". No point in booking the whole fishery as it would need a fair few anglers to do that and the fishery has never been packed since i have been fishing there, which still baffles me
If any one is interested let me know and i will have a word with Brian "fishery manager" as to the best date, but bear in mind the weekends are his bizzy time.
Dates: sat and sundays
2nd-3rd may
9th-10th may
6th-7th june
13th-14th june

So far depending on date picked.
Myself
Chub1

Ok a date has been made and i hope its ok ,i know it wont please everyone but it needs to be set. Sunday 3rd May Gates open at 7amfor those who wish the early rise..i would just like to clear up a point about tickets, its £20 aday till 6pm or £25 allday till dusk, sorry for any confusion as i see after 6pm as evening not day. Thanks for reminding me RogB
PLEASE could you make sure you dont leave any litter at the mere , also please dont leave fag ends on the bank or throw them in the water as they are dangerous to the wildlife , any litter can be put in the bin at the club house while its open. Thanks Gaz
Brian suggested using small flies 14 upwards allow to sink to 4ft ish and retrieve, a washing line with a mix of flies might work well or flies just subsurface.A dry targeted can also produce results, due to the clear water i reckon black or olive?. Good luck everyone and i will see you all tomorrow .Gaz Remember gates open at 7am

Well me old macker, i was going to av a word with Brian, just to see if any date s are booked, as he has a corparate jobby at some time, but thats more than likely in the week , but i want to make sure.
I would have thought May or early june be the best, any sat or sun due to the fact most people have those days off if you throw some dates up and we can go from there, as theres know need to reserve the fishery there isnt to much of a problem with dates Gaz
I hope these dates are easist on everybody.
2nd-3rd may
9th-10 th may
6th-7th june
13-th-14th june
