Default Early Season Trout Fishing Weekend

Gina Le Faux and I will be hosting the latest in our series of instructional weekends in Calderdale, West Yorkshire, 24-26 April 2009, focussed on flies, tackle, tactics and techniques for targetting wild brown trout in the springtime, and we invite attendees...

The weekend is residential and fully inclusive of all accommodation, food, day tickets, tuition, guiding and evening entertainments.

Please send me a PM to sign up or for further details...

JT

Hello John,

Thanks for the info.
Holidays taken and the cheque en route.

What rod length and line weight would you recommend John ?.

Would be up for the "additional" venture , preferably on the Sunday - on the way home.

All the best, and looking forward to meeting you and Gina again,
Tony

Hi Tony,

A longish rod is the tool of choice for the spiders (10' #3 to #5). Aside from that just bring your favourite dry fly rod (8-9' #4 or #5 would be spot on).

The 'additional' venture seems popular so far so it should be a goer.

See you Friday afternoon in the usual,

JT

It should be a great weekend, the season has started well and the river looks in great condition.
