Yes, I'd have a go at that..either day. I'm at Wherwell the Sunday before.

Thanks for the thought.

Neil,

The Saturday would suit me better, we could travel down together?

I'd love to have come. I live just up the road from Timsbury. But all things being equal I'll be wrestling with a bonefish or two in Mexico that day.

Don't suppose any of you guys are in the River Test One Fly competition on April 24th?

(google fishing breaks for details)

Cheers

Hows this for timing, I've booked Timsbury for the 14th March for the tuition day! There's plenty of water for everyone, and no need to have a lesson with me if you don't want one, so why not call that the meet day as well as it's already booked?

If people want to go for it then I'll arrange everything together otherwise we may risk swamping the fishery and ruining our chances of being allowed back there. I've been quoted £25 per person for fishing, so if people want to contact me to say they want to fish but not have a lesson, then I'll collect the £25 from them on the day. If people choose to have a lesson, let me know ASAP as places are limited to what I can physically achieve.

Or, if you fancy fishing the previous weekend, I'll let Icky organise that as proposed, and I'll probably join you.

What do you think Icky?

I would be up for the 8th March but can't do 14th. I'm going to the Romsey vintage tackle fair in the morning, but I'll be free from about 11am. A friend who's going to the fair with me might be up for it as well, though I don't think he posts on here, so he may not be eligible.

Not fussed about having a lesson (not that I'm any good, but I've probably developed too many bad habits and daft ideas to be educated otherwise). I've fished Timsbury quite a few times over the last four or five years; mostly trotting, though I've wafted a fly about occasionally in the afternoon.

Right, Icky has agreed that we do this as a one day for everyone sort of day, so I'll arrange it on the tuition thread to keep track of numbers. Just contact me via the other thread, and I'll include you on the list.

Three, you don't have to be on the forum to take part, if your friend wants to come, £25 and a fly rod is all thats required to participate.

By the time most people have stopped tacking the mick out of each other in the car park they'll be free about 11am as well I reckon!
