We generally meet on the Third Monday of the month (no meetings in July, August and September) at Ossett Cricket Club commencing at 8pm, where we usually have a guest speaker

The Programme of Speakers Booked for 2009 are -:

19 Jan - Roger Beck - Small stream fly casting workshop.
15 Feb - Paul Gaskell - Wild Trout Trust “ Trout in the Town”
16 March - Darren Booth - Modern Small Stillwater Techniques
20 April - Dave Egging ton -Fly tying for course fish.
18 May - River Fishing Evening - West Yorkshire Urban Rivers
15 June - Walton Hall Cup - To be held at Fewston Reservoir.
19 Oct - AGM -Steve Cooper - Lake Fishing in Iceland
16 November - David Southall - Pocket Fishing in Austria
14 December - Christmas Buffet - Members Review of the Season.

There is a small fee of £2.00 to all non society members with this being refunded if one decided to join the club for £8.00 per year. The societies aims are to promote the enjoyment gamefishing to all. The society meet on a monthly basis through out the winter months and arrange a small number of fishing excursions during the summer, with the emphasis being on the sharing knowledge in a friendly good humoured manner.

Skateboard Dave returns to the Yorkshire Gamefishers on Monday night.

After his visit last year, I'm looking forward to another entertaining and informative evening.

Just to say thank you for the warm welcome as a new visitor to one of your society club nights. A fascinating presentation by skateboard dave. Hope I can make it along on the fishing evening next month.

Hi Darren

Not been able to get hold of anyone yet for a time, but last year we met in time for the evening ticket, which begins at 4pm.
