Ever wondered how to skin a bird? Steve Cooper from Cookshill will be providing practical demos and good tips about buying fur and feather at the Beehive Pub, Bolton Fly Tyers Club night on Tuesday the 15th November. Steve is bringing a large number of items to sell providing a unique chance to look before you buy, not that this is ever an issue as with the always excellent range of quality materials that Cookshill provide. A great chance to stock up and get some good tips before settling down to some winter fly tying! I suggest that if you require specific items you contact Steve before the meeting to avoid disappointment.

Fly Clips & Stands

On 6th December John Tyzak will demonstrate tying spider patterns and talk to us about techniques for fishing them.

There will be further announcements in due course as we line up other demonstrators, but for the moment , last but by no means least.

On 17th January Stuart Crofts will be be with us tying some of the imitative patterns that he uses with great effect on our rivers.
Stuart's knowledge of the entomology of our river insect life is truly legendary and there is no one like him for explaining it in terms we can all understand.
