Gibby,
I was involved in the 3 year development of the "joey Boyle", it took hours at the vice and river to try and perfect the idea, many versions failed but this time i think Andy has the come up with undoubtedly one of the all time classics. i now have 1 fly box purley dedicated to this fly, they are that good. Years from now when you look in fly tying books the J Boyle will surley be there.
Cowpushers,
well done guys a sterling perfomance from both Stuart and Keith, (dont know what Mick was on, coming in with a blank )
Cragie,
Couple of grayling about 45 - 47 cm were caught and a trout of 44cm, nothing huge this time but lots if good fish returned even with the high water conditions.
Thanks to all that turned up for this years event, not the best water conditions but everyone fished well, and the banter in the BULL later on was fantastic, not long till Grayling Comp.
John Maclennan.
PS did anybody see the foggy badger?
