Default Tinca tinca...

Had a great evening with friends yesterday on a small overgrown lake fishing for Tench, as someone addicted to rivers i've never really spent as much time with Tench as i'd like and i thoroughly enjoyed myself, we managed a few between us, this scrappy devil being my best...

Nice one Graham,since i took up fly fishing Tench and Roach are the only fish i feel that i am missing out on,seeing your post might just urge me into getting the old centre pin out and go and have a go myself

Steven where i have circled on this fish and placed a cross , if it was a male it would have a large bony stucture just above each fin either side on its flanks and the fins would be bigger on a male

Dave, got it in one mate , heres a picture of a male clearly showing the bony stucture , and huge/bigger fins than the female especiallly the pectoral fins..
