Default Pike

Hi guys was thinking of taking my brother pike fishing. We do a bit of carp fishing.
My question is whether 2&1/2 lb test curve rods, with 15lb main line strong enough to cope with dead baits for pike.
Sorry if its a bit of a stupid question, but not very experienced at coarse fishing, although I have fly fished for pike before.

John.

More than enough just set your tension on your reels light .you can always tighten them while playing a fish.Don't rule out doing a it of spinning. It can be very exciting at times.

The ones that don't get shared on public forums!

I'd suggest you join a club such as PAAS or PAC and meet up with some of the guys - this is definately the best way to go.
