Hi Hobble the reason we liked it the county durham section was from witton le wear just up the road from its more famous trout fishery at witton castle and the london section to find that we do have an ally in parliament must be of some use

Kool, i understand 100% noel. But as a presenter i just dont think he sells it,
dont get me wrong some great rivers are seen in the footage,
i guess very hard to get a great angler and a perfect tv presenter all in one,

paul young your a legend

how bloody right that is, he is so boring ,false laugh, half a plum stuck in his gob, robson green was more entertaining, you would of been better watching hywell for the two programmes previous ,now he's infectious, entertaining and knows his stuff and explains stuff very well,as does bobb nudd on the series of "bob nudd goes coarse fishing" very good ,and exellently presented

I didn't watch the programme but I'm prepared to bet that the word "exactly" cropped up in the script from time to time. John Bailey so nearly gets it right but he is a little bit false in his commentary, fawns over other anglers and is sometimes economical with the truth in pursuit of a good programme.

I like Hywel Morgan but Paul Young remains my favourite presenter with generally well constructed programmes.

I also have a lot of time for Matt Hayes, he may not be the world's best fly angler and he is a bit annoying at times but there are very few better all round anglers on TV. I also like the Irish guy, Darryl Grimason for his totally infectious enthusiasm in the Coast to Coast series.

The best angler on DVD or TV is probably Martin Bowler who apparently can't sell his brilliant series "Catching the Impossible" to the TV channels.

I had been spared to see another spring, and I thank God for it.”
