Default Casting in Wood

I have a centrepin reel that was apparently made by "Casting in Wood". It is 3.75" in diameter and has a pretty wide spool. I was thinking of using it for barbel on my stretch of the Ouse.

Does anyone know anything about the reel or the maker? I'm ashamed to say I bought it for a pretty penny off Ebay despite not knowing anything about it!

Alan

Casting in Wood used to advertise in Waterlog Magazine - looks like they sold seriously traditional gear at equally serious prices!!

Have a telephone number as: 01789 293955. That's from 1997, mind you.

I managed to get my camera working but have also decided to sell the reel. I think it is a lovely thing but I didn't think I really needed it to enjoy my coarse fishing - I'm getting something cheaper instead.

Bruce: I called all the numbers but no luck!
