That fish you are holding is a cracking male fish I bet it scrapped hard. I think I enjoyed tench fishing more than just about anything...

I will Tell you now That A brillant Catch m8 My best Tench Is 1lb2oz i went for tench at a lake in cullumpton (devon) caled kia ora and caught nothing but 5-6lb carp all day it was a brillant day for carp fishing.... jake

Tench of this size aren't uncommon in this lake, one angler had 15 tench for 80lb a few weeks back

Nice fishing ........... I love the way you went three times and worked it out. I'd still be scratching my head.

I am missing a good coarse outing. I get so little time that I have just been doing the odd day or two or evenings fly fishing.

good sized male tench them, as a rule of thumb they say you can double the size of females thats in the water compared to the males ...

I thought I'd try and get this thread going again as we approach the 16th. Problem is I couldn't wait and have had some very enjoyable sessions so far. The details including today's trip are on my blog.
