It will probably be one of the ponds on Hampstead Heath with my 8 year old after school...That's all he can think and talk about. Fishing, 16th, fishing, 16th, fishing.....

wonder where he gets that from.

I'm undecided, the choices are:

1) big Tench and Bream on a mature gravel pit in Harefield, or

2) Barbel on the Colne (before they spook to all the normal baits / methods)

What would you all advise?

Some fly fishing for the big chub on the fast weedy runs of the river Ivel 5 minutes walk from my house.
