Default Monster zander!

I just got my copy of Classic Angling, and there's a shot of a massive 15kg, 105cm zander caught on a deadbait in an italian lake!
Looks like a world record, what a fish!

Ok I've scanned it in, but I normally have problems uploading to Photobucket or Flickr as there's a weird security bug with my pc and I can't be a***d to wipe everything and reload! I'll try with Kodak or other

Not to mention ugly as all sin! I've read several references to this type of fish on the board, but this is the first I recall a photo. Will have 'Google' these things; don't think this type of fish is anywhere in North America.

I think he is just holding the fish out too far, it doesn't appear shopped just poorly framed

Fred, sure there are. I think there are slight differences, in the NA versions but they call them "walleye".

There's one hand in the gill cover and the body is resting on his knee. The article says that it was 54cm around the girth, and that the previous record was only 25lb 2oz in Sweden. It was released unharmed.

i cant see being able to support a fish of this size with a couple of fingers ,as this is he way it looks here ,as you cant see any support on the tail end of the fish at all ,,how did he do it!!!! brings questions to mind ,but if I'm wrong! its a stunning fish ,and will take allot to beat it.
