Default Pike fishing - spinning rod ratings

Many moons ago when I used to pike fish no one ever rated the rod for plug weights ,,,,,,,, but now length and ratings.

I suppose I am looking for a good do it all sea bass, sea trout and pike spinning rod ................ not even sure of the best weight rating.

Any general advice?

Look at the Veal's Mike Ladle 4SureSpin designed by Steve Harrison of Harrison Advanced Rods.... It is made in the Far East under Steve's watchful eye.

I have one and it is brilliant... teamed up with a size 40 reel and Powerpro braid... frankly you cant go wrong...

I've used it for piking... for Mackerel fishing (with a 2oz lead and a bunch of feathers )... oh and I take it on holidays as it is a 4 piece... and in Egypt best plug was a Rapala CD9 in silver... accounted for 7 barracuda and a Jack Trevally

Awesome rod in my opinion... a true go anywhere no nonsense rod (and the price has come down!)

Think it is rated 15-50g BUT I've used lighter and heavier (up to 70g)
