Default Abu Garcia Multitip Rod

Hi guys, I used to be an avid coarse fisherman and I was just digging out my tackle to give it a go again over the winter and to my horror I appear to have lost the butt insert for my Abu Garci Maxxar Multitip 6100 10ft , which held 3x tip sections for the rod (light/med/heavy). So the rod is now useless The rod is a good 10 years old but it was quite a good rod in it's day, I think it cost around £100. Does anyone know how I could get my hands on some tips again or even just one so I can fish with it again? I think I only really used the med or stiff tip anyway, soft was way too soft.

I really love the rod and don't want to have to dispose of it, holds a lot of childhood memories

Thanks in advance! Rob

Quick update guys, found a guy on ebay selling universal 2 foot quiver tips for £2 each so decided to give that a go first, its the correct length and diameter, would be fantastic if it leaves me with a fully functioning rod again

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/universal-push...d=p3286.c0.m14

I never used the two lightest tips anyway

Can usually pick up tips from tackle shops, may have to do a bit of cutting back perhaps or a bit of light sanding to get a snug fit

Yes, big/good tackle shops will usually hold a selection of tips - best to test some for fit rather than buying blind. If all else fails, you could always splice in a fixed tip.

If it doesn't work, try contacting Harrison Rods in Liverpool, they are well known for building quality rods but have also a rebuild and repair service and should be able to make you one up for reasonable money

My fishing club also recommends this guy:
