Interesting.

Not seen these in the flesh but looking at it in the pics it doesn't look that well put together look at that cheap-looking, pressed sheet, riveted reel foot for example...

And the hyperglide looks like some sort of re-engineered Okuma Trent/Sheffield clone. I'd want a good review or to handle one first before parting with my cash. However, thirty quid....

Sorry Dazz I meant the Rotorglide looks Okumaish...

I thought the rotorglide looked familiar. A friend just told me about them, apparently they are advertised in angling times. Im not getting one just thought id check your opinions before he persuades me that its a steal. I havent even had chance to use my cortesi yet, next few weeks though.

It's a piece of scrap.

Save your money and keep an eye out on ebay, a mint Okuma Sheffield or Aventa Pro will come up again and sell at around £50.00 to £60.00.

Best time to buy is during the coarse close season, I always look forward to then and pick up some real bargains.

The Pirate.

ok i had a look today at these ,theres actually two versions of the Holland & Wilkinson Rotorglide Centrepin ,theres the pretty looking okuma clone (standard (black and silver) edition) which is just that a cross between a trent (but with no drag just a ratchet) and sheffield ,very nice looking reel but nothing special ,better and lighter than the sheffield with some of the styling of the trent with alloy handles .very nice if you want a lighter alternative to a okuma .and they're cost less ,if someone wanted a pretty ,but functional reel then this is a contender .i would recommend one ,if thats the type of reel they was looking for :something a little different but still a great reel .

the second version (limited edition) is altogether a different reel (beast) ,its brown pressed alloy ,its looks cheap and feels cheap ,it doesn't have a drag at all but it does ahave a ratchet and a anti-reverse that i can't forsee a use for ,so i won't be recomending it too anyone .the standard version totally outshines the limited edition and is a good reel

of all the reels "used tackle/dragoncarp" the best value has to be the marco contessi mk2 ,bigger than the first model and a rather nice colour .
