Fancied trying my hand at spinning for pike. Wondered if anyone here could point me in the direction of a good forum for advice on set-up, where to fish etc.

You will find most stillwaters closed to pike until Octoberdon't know why really as they are a good summer quarry.The rivers won't open until June 16th,but the Thames has its fair share,try around Walton cut and island or the weir pool at Sunbury from the Surrey bank,also punts for hire from the Middlesex bank.If you can find a free stretch of the mole or the Wey they both have their fair share of fish.

Have reel, rod & line. Need some lures, pair of pliers and a mat. Do i need anything else?

Be careful when buying lures. More and more fisheries are putting in a single hook rule and of course barbless.
