Default River Endrick

Hi folks

Only ever had a couple of days trotting on the earn and days on the canal as a kid coarse experience. I enjoyed my last day on the Earn despite no Grayling! I was looking at other venues and found that the Endrick has a few coarse species in it. Where can you fish it/where do you get permits if needed/good spots for a coarse beginer?

Mick

Your correct Jim, I used to fish it years ago when there were regular competitions on it, Its mainly Dace, Bream, Roach and the occassional chub, we used to park in Mains Farm accessed via the lane down the side of the church at Badshalloch but I believe this privledge has now ceased.

Nigel will be able to help you as he has fished it for years and is a wealth of knowledge on that stretch.

Access to the Mains farm stretch has indeed been taken away. The new owners are breeding thoroughbred horse and do not want to take any chance of frightening their stock. You should still be able to get on at Drymen Bridge.
One day trotting I caught;
dace
roach
chub
perch
gudgeon
ruffe
brown trout
sea trout (to 3lbs)
salmon parr
minnows
and one solitary stickleback!!!!
A very mixed bag!
