Default cheap 'pin

Spotted these the other day (online, not seen one "in the flesh")
Marco Cortesi Signature Centrepin reel - Dragon Carp Direct

Ignoring the incorrect claim in the ad that how long a reel spins is what matters (its not, its start-up inertia, but never mind) - it still looks a steal for £30 if you just want a starter or occasional 'pin. Looks quite pretty too!

Certainly looks good for the money Jeff, wouldn't mind a play with one first.
You buy one and bring it up.

the spool is always slackening off and I have to tighten the knurled nut on the back. You cant put a thread locking fluid on as you have to undo this nut if your line gets trapped behind the spool.which it does with regularity because the spool slackens off.
