hi all we are having a charity day on Sunday the 1st of November in aid of the Port of Menteith Kirk and Skool. You will go out fishing at 12 noon and come in around 4 pm for a BBQ cooked by Myself and Quint (don't let that put you off) there will also be a selection of home made soup and venison stew and some refreshments will be in the back of the workshop. Some of the Children from the school will come and sing a few songs, there will also be a raffle with some fabulous prizes. The price is £40 per boat. Hi there are still a few boats available for Sunday

A hard day,the rain never let up the whole time but i think most people returned fish.The hospitality at the end of the day was second to none well done everyone involved,some of the kids from the local school turned up to do a bit of singing and by the look on the faces i think they enjoyed themselves. The raffle...... what can i say it was more like the generation game for me the only thing i never got was a cuddly toy.

just a big thank you for all those who braved the rain (and my cooking) and supported the kirk and school, there was just under £1900 raised. The Children's singing was lovely though those who joined in weren't so good. also a big thanks to the fishermen and local business for donating fabulous prizes for the raffle. It was a nice way to end the season for me and Quint having a few drams and a chin wag. See you all in 2010
