Default England Youth lack of support

It has bothered me for quite some time that the fly fishing press are a bunch of total hyprocrites.

We hear that there are fewer young anglers coming into our sport. We have been encouraged to bring newcomers and yongsters to our sport on more than one occasion by the angling press.

Trout Fisherman - what do they do for young anglers. NOTHING.

Trout and Salmon - what do they do for young anglers - NOTHING.

Total fly fisher - what do they do for young anglers - NOTHING.

The England Youth Fly Fishing Association (EYFA) is run by volunteers and relies on donations and fund raisers to keep its self alive.

What do the press ever do to help?? They publish results and dates of any events.

CR*P. Absolute CR*P.

It's time that we all woke up and smelt the coffee.

If the EYFA are not supported better by us all then it will fold.

Our sport will suffer as a result.

Why can these magazines not have atleast one page a month dedicated to the EYFA?? It really isn't much to ask and content wouldn't be a problem.

They show a total lack foresight (in my opinion) and need to offer more support to the future of our sport.

I ask all involved with this forum, please support the EYFA in any way you can.

Thankyou.

Blimey, the pubs shut late around your way...

By the way, I mostly agree with what you say.
