I would suggest that you:
1. Consider what you intend to auction, if possible taking photographs.
2. Decide on the charity you wish to support.
3. Decide on a reasonable time for the auction to run, including a closing date and time.
4. Consider how the winning bidder should make the payment, e.g. by cheque made payable to your charity and posted to you.
5. Open a new thread with the title "Auction for ----", giving full details of all the above and asking for bids to be placed in that thread.
6. Update the thread as necessary, possibly asking admin to pin it at the top of the charity fundraising board.
